Get Started and Never Quit

I press on toward the goal to win the [supreme and heavenly] prize to which God in Christ Jesus is calling us upward.
—Philippians 3:14

Has God told you to do something and you intend to obey Him at some time, but you just have not gotten around to it yet? Good intentions are not obedience. You have not obeyed until you have taken the action that God instructed you to take.

I encourage you to get started moving in the right direction. Begin to pray about your vision. If you do not have one, pray for one, and in the meantime, become associated with somebody who does have one. Get around a visionary and you may become one.

Get started moving in a positive direction. Speak positive things about yourself and your life; believe that God can use you.

Get excited! It feels better than being bored. If God has given you a vision, you must be committed to bringing that vision to pass under the leadership of the Holy Spirit. Establish short-term and long-term goals, then move toward those goals daily in prayer and in action.

Visions do not come to pass overnight, so you must be patient and just keep moving even if you do not see any visual evidence of success for a long time.

Get started and never quit!

Do This:

Start moving in a positive direction. Take steps of obedience. Don't just have good intentions. Be a doer of the Word.

Honor God for the days of rest.

Live beyond your feelings.

Take some time and think about where you were when you first accepted Christ into your heart. Listen to the Holy Spirit instead of listening to the devil! The way to listen to the Holy Spirit is by following your heart not your head or your feelings. Learn to live beyond your feelings.

Don't compare yourself with other people. Everyone has strengths and weaknesses. Be patient with yourself. Keep pressing on and believe that you are changing every day.

Don't give up! You are growing up!

Say This:

"Christ is my life. I grow up into Him Who is the Head. Through Him I have joy unspeakable and full of glory!" (1 Peter 1:8 KJV.)

Have a GREAT day in the Lord.

Life is a gift

There was a blind girl who hated herself because she was blind. She hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend. He was always there for her. One day, her boyfriend asked her to marry him. She said that if she could only see the world, she would marry him.

One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her. She was able to see everything for the first time, including her boyfriend.

Her boyfriend asked her, "Now that you can see the world, will you marry me?"

The girl was shocked when she realized that her boyfriend was blind, and refused to marry him.

Her boyfriend walked away in tears. Later, he wrote a letter to her
saying:
"Just take care of my eyes, dear."

This is how some people change when their status changes. Few remember what their life was like before and those who have always been there for them, even during the most painful situations.

Life Is A Gift

Today

Before you think of saying an unkind word - Think of someone who can't speak.

Before you complain about the taste of your food - Think of someone who has nothing to eat.

Before you complain about your husband or wife - Think of someone who's crying out to God for a companion.

Today before you complain about life - Think of someone who went to their grave too early.

Before you complain about your children - Think of someone who desires children but they're barren.

Before you argue about your dirty house, someone didn't clean or sweep

Think of the people who are living in the streets.

Before whining about the distance you drive - Think of someone who walks the same distance with their feet.

And when you are tired and complain about your job - Think of the unemployed, the disabled, and those who wished they had your job.

But before you think of pointing the finger or condemning another - Remember that not one of us is without sin and we all answer to one maker.

And when depressing thoughts seem to get you down - Put a smile on your face and thank God you're alive and still around.

Life is a gift, Live it, Enjoy it, Celebrate it, and fulfill it.

Guidance

Dancing With God
When I meditated on the word Guidance,
I kept seeing "dance" at the end of the word.
I remember reading that doing God's will is a lot like dancing.
When two people try to lead, nothing feels right.
The movement doesn't flow with the music,
and everything is quite uncomfortable and jerky.
When one person realizes that, and lets the other lead,
both bodies begin to flow with the music.
One gives gentle cues, perhaps with a nudge to the back
or by pressing Lightly in one direction or another.

It's as if two become one body, moving beautifully.
The dance takes surrender, willingness,
and attentiveness from one person
and gentle guidance and skill from the other.
My eyes drew back to the word Guidance.
When I saw "G": I thought of God, followed by "u" and "i".
"God, "u" and "i" dance."
God, you, and I dance.
As I lowered my head, I became willing to trust
that I would get guidance about my life.
Once again, I became willing to let God lead.
My prayer for you today is that God's blessings
and mercies are upon you on this day and everyday.
May you abide in God, as God abides in you.
Dance together with God, trusting God to lead
and to guide you through each season of your life.

This prayer is powerful and there is nothing attached.
Interceding in prayer is one of the best gifts we can receive.
There is no cost but a lot of rewards;
so let's continue to pray for one another.
And I Hope You Dance !

Stay in the Light

"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you".....Isaiah 43:2

Peace be with you today as you hold onto your faith, hope, courage and ability to cope. You are not forsaken. You will be delivered from your difficulties.

This, too, shall pass.

Right now breathe in the strength and love of the Lord. You are a child of God divinely guided in all ways. Everything is already all right.

Stay in the Light.

You Can't Hide behind Evil

INTERPRETATION OF PROVERBS 12

1. To accept correction is wise, to reject it is stupid.

2. The LORD likes everyone who lives right, but he punishes everyone

who makes evil plans.

3. Sin cannot offer security! But if you live right, you will be as secure

as a tree with deep roots.

4. A helpful wife is a jewel for her husband, but a shameless wife

will make his bones rot.

5. Good people have kind thoughts, but you should never trust

the advice of someone evil.

6. Bad advice is a deadly trap, but good advice is like a shield.

7. Once the wicked are defeated, they are gone forever, but no one who obeys God

will ever be thrown down.

8. Good sense is worthy of praise, but stupidity is a curse.

9. It's better to be ordinary and have only one servant [a] than to think you are somebody and starve to death.

10. Good people are kind to their animals, but a mean person is cruel.

11. Hard working farmers have more than enough food; daydreamers are nothing more

than stupid fools.

12. An evil person tries to hide behind evil; good people are like trees

with deep roots.

13. We trap ourselves by telling lies, but we stay out of trouble

by living right.

14. We are rewarded or punished for what we say and do.

15. Fools think they know what is best, but a sensible person

listens to advice.

16. Losing your temper is foolish; ignoring an insult is smart.

17. An honest person tells the truth in court, but a dishonest person

tells nothing but lies.

18. Sharp words cut like a sword, but words of wisdom heal.

19. Truth will last forever; lies are soon found out.

20. An evil mind is deceitful, but gentle thoughts bring happiness.

21. Good people never have trouble, but troublemakers have more than enough.

22. The LORD hates every liar, but he is the friend of all who can be trusted.

23. Be sensible and don't tell everything you know-- only fools spread

foolishness everywhere.

24. Work hard, and you will be a leader; be lazy, and you will end up a slave.

25. Worry is a heavy burden, but a kind word always brings cheer.

26. You are better off to do right, than to lose your way by doing wrong.

27. Anyone too lazy to cook will starve, but a hard worker is a valuable treasure.

28. Follow the road to life, and you won't be bothered by death.

Creative Thinking

Sometimes you run across a quote in a book or you hear someone say something that just jumps out at you. Then again, some things are so subtle that you may overlook the wisdom shared.

They just aren’t slogan material such as “Just Do It!” or “Dance like no one is watching.”
Nevertheless, a somewhat boring statement could turn your life around. As they say, “The light came on.” The following quote did that for me recently. Maybe you can mull it over and see what it does for your thinking, your job, or that big challenge facing you.
“The significant problems we have cannot be solved at the same level of thinking with which we created them.” – Albert Einstein

This probably wouldn’t be printed on a t-shirt but it is a quote that is worth re-reading! The next question to ask yourself is, “How can I think on a higher level?”
Here are some tips that might help you look at your situation differently and think “up.”

1. Read your bible

2. Step away from the problem for a short period of time.

3. Do something entirely different to take your mind off your challenge.

4. Find something funny whether it is renting a funny movie or going into a card shop and reading the funny cards, or getting with a friend that makes you laugh.

5. Find an article, a book or CD about the art of creative thinking.

6. Read your bible

7. Go to a conference or expo where there are lots of ideas. Attend meetings whether they
are related to your problem or not. When you are around energized people with ideas it
spreads to other areas.

8. Write down 20 things you could do about your situation. Find the best one to try and go to work on that!

9. P-U-S-H (PRAY UNTIL SOMETHING HAPPENS)

Challenge yourself to raise your level of thinking. It’s an exciting concept…if you think about it.

SATAN'S MEETING: (Read even if you're busy)

Satan called a worldwide convention of demons.

In his opening address he said,

"We can't keep Christians from going to church."

"We can't keep them from reading their Bibles and knowing the truth."

"We can't even keep them from forming an intimate relationship with their savior."

"Once they gain that connection with Jesus, our power over them is broken."

"So let them go to their churches; let them have their covered dish dinners, BUT steal their time, so they don't have time to develop a relationship with Jesus Christ.."

"This is what I want you to do," said the devil:

"Distract them from gaining hold of their Savior and maintaining that vital connection through out their day!"

"How shall we do this?" his demons shouted.

"Keep them busy in the non-essentials of life and invent innumerable schemes to occupy their minds," he answered.

"Tempt them to spend, spend, spend, and borrow, borrow, borrow."

Pursuade the wives to go to work for long hours and the husbands to work 6-7 days each week, 10-12 hours a day, so they can afford their empty lifestyles."

"Keep them from spending time with their children."

"As their families fragment, soon, their homes will offer no escape from the pressures of work!"

"Over-stimulate their minds so that they cannot hear that still, small voice."

"Entice them to play the radio or cassette player whenever they drive." To keep the TV, VCR, CDs and their PCs going constantly in their home and see to it that every store and restaurant in the world plays non-biblical music constantly."

"This will jam their minds and break that union with Christ."

"Fill the coffee tables with magazines and newspapers."

"Pound their minds with the news 24 hours a day."

"Invade their driving moments with billboards."

"Flood their mailboxes with junk mail, mail order catalogs, sweepstakes, and every kind of newsletter and promotional offering free products, services and false hopes.."

"Keep skinny, beautiful models on the magazines and TV so their husbands will believe that outward beauty is what's important, and they'll become dissatisfied with their wives. "

"Keep the wives too tired to love their husbands at night."

"Give them headaches too! "

"If they don't give their husbands the love they need, they will begin to look elsewhere."

"That will fragment their families quickly!"

"Give them Santa Claus to distract them from teaching their children the real meaning of Christmas."

"Give them an Easter bunny so they won't talk about his resurrection and power over sin and death."

"Even in their recreation, let them be excessive."

"Have them return from their recreation exhausted."

"Keep them too busy to go out in nature and reflect on God's creation. Send them to amusement parks, sporting events, plays, concerts, and movies instead."

"Keep them busy, busy, busy!"

"And when they meet for spiritual fellowship, involve them in gossip and small talk so that they leave with troubled consciences."

"Crowd their lives with so many good causes they have no time to seek power from Jesus."

"Soon they will be working in their own strength, sacrificing their health and family for the good of the cause." !

"It will work!"

"It will work!"

It was quite a plan!

The demons went eagerly to their assignments causing Christians everywhere to get busier and more rushed, going here and there.

Having little time for their God or their families.

Having no time to tell others about the power of Jesus to change lives.

I guess the question is, has the devil been successful! in his schemes?

You be the judge!!!!!

Does "BUSY" mean: B-eing U-nder S-atan's Y-oke?

Do You Love Him?

God Bless,

Ten Guidelines From God #8, 9 and 10

8. BE PATIENT:
I managed to fix it so in just one lifetime
you could have so many diverse experiences.
You grow from a child to an adult, have children,
change jobs many times, learn many trades,
travel to so many places, meet thousands
of people, and experience so much. How can
you be so impatient then when it takes Me
a little longer than you expect to handle
something on My to-do-list? Trust in My
timing, for My timing is perfect. Just
because I created the entire universe in
only six days, everyone thinks I should
always rush, rush, rush

9. BE KIND:
Be kind to others, for I love them just
as much as I love you. They may not dress
like you, or talk like you, or live the same way
you do, but I still love you all. Please try
to get along, for My sake. I created each
of you different in some way. It would be
too boring if you were all identical.
Please, know I love each of your differences.

10. LOVE YOURSELF:
As much as I love you, how can you not
love yourself? You were created by me for
one reason only -- to be loved, and to love
in return. I am a God of Love. Love Me.
Love your neighbors. But also love yourself.
It makes My heart ache when I see you
so angry with yourself when things go
wrong. You are very precious to me.
Don't ever forget......

Ten Guidelines From God #6 and #7

6. HAVE FAITH:
I see a lot of things from up here that you
can't see from where you are. Have faith in
Me that I know what I'm doing. Trust Me;
you wouldn't want the view from My eyes.
I will continue to care for you, watch over you,
and meet your needs. You only have to trust Me.
Although I have a much bigger task than you,
it seems as if you have so much trouble just
doing your simple part. How hard can trust be?

7. SHARE:
You were taught to share when you were
only two years old. When did you forget?
That rule still applies. Share with those who are
less fortunate than you. Share your joy with
those who need encouragement. Share your
laughter with those who haven't heard any in
such a long time. Share your tears with those
who have forgotten how to cry. Share your faith
with those who have none.

Ten Guidelines From God #5

5. TALK TO ME:
I want you to forget a lot of things.
Forget what was making you crazy.
Forget the worry and the fretting because
you know I'm in control. But there's one
thing I pray you never forget. Please, don't
forget to talk to Me - OFTEN! I love YOU!
I want to hear your voice. I want you to
include Me in on the things going on in your life.
I want to hear you talk about your friends
and family. Prayer is simply you having
a conversation with Me. I want to be your
dearest friend.

Ten Guidelines From God #4

4. LEAVE IT ALONE:
Don't wake up one morning and say,
"Well, I'm feeling much stronger now, I think
I can handle it from here." Why do you think
you are feeling stronger now? It's simple.
You gave Me your burdens and I'm taking
care of them. I also renew your strength
and cover you in my peace. Don't you
know that if I give you these problems back,
you will be right back where you started?
Leave them with Me and forget about
them. Just let Me do my job.
