A Fresh Start in this Coming Year

As we come to the beginning of a new year and the ending of an old one, we often wish we could turn over a new leaf or have a fresh start. No doubt about it, there have been certain things we have said or done in this past year that we have come to regret.

Wouldn't it be great to just start over again? In reality, as a Christian you can have a fresh start. The New Year is still a blank slate. There are opportunities ahead of you. You decide which path you are going to walk in this coming year. "Thus says the LORD: 'Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where the good way is, and walk in it; then you will find rest for your souls'" (Jeremiah 6:16). You decide what your priorities are going to be. You decide which direction you are going to take, each and every day.

Maybe some of us need a fresh start in this coming year. Here is a great opportunity to make a new commitment. We don't know what the New Year is going to bring. We don't know what problems we are going to encounter. We don't know what changes are going to come. We don't know what blessings the Lord has in store for us. But whatever the New Year holds, we don't have to be afraid because Jesus Christ is going to be waiting there for us.

"Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God."
God is in control of your future. He is ready to bless you in this coming year.

Do not dwell on the past

Be kind and compassionate to one another,
forgiving each other, just as in Christ God
forgave you.
( Ephesians 4:32 *NIV )

It is easy for us to ask God for forgiveness, but we often
find it very difficult to forgive others. Therefore when you
find yourself angry with someone and thinking about revenge,
remember that it is written; Do not take revenge, my
friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it
is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay,
" says the Lord. ( Romans 12:19 )

After all our Savoir Jesus Christ gave us this warning as well;
For if you forgive men when they sin against you,
your Heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if
you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will
not forgive your sins. ( Matthew 6:14-15 )

Therefore; "Forget the former things; do not dwell on
the past. ( Isaiah 43:18 ) For the past is gone and no
one can change it anyway! All we can do is make today the
best that we can by forgiving our enemies, just as God has
forgiven us!

So why not make peace with those who may have
angered you, remembering the Words of our Savior Jesus
Christ; Blessed are the peacemakers, for
they will be called sons of God. Amen.
( Matthew 5:9 )

Christmas really stands for the Birth of our Lord

"Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and
bear a Son, and they shall call His name
Immanuel,"* which is translated, "God with
us." ( Matthew 1:23 NKJV )

For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given;
and the government will be upon His shoulder.
and His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor,
Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
( Isaiah 9:6 )

As we prepare to celebrate Christ's Birth, try not to get caught
up in the hustle bustle of the season, which is easy to do with
Santa Claus, Christmas Trees and Presents. Always keep in
mind that Christmas really stands for the Birth of our Lord and
Savior Jesus Christ and His great gifts to us, including the
Forgiveness of our sins and Eternal Life as well.

Now it is my prayer that your Christmas be filled with love,
hope and faith, and that; the peace of God, which
surpasses all understanding, will guard your
hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
( Philippians 4:7 )

Have a Very Merry Christmas, and may it be
happy and bright as well!. Amen.

God's joy within you

Whoever gives heed to instruction
prospers, and blessed is he who
trusts in the LORD .
( Proverbs 16:20 *NIV )

Never let the enemy still your joy and leave you
downcast! Instead enjoy what God has given to you,
for; Blessed are the people of whom this is true;
blessed are the people whose God is the
LORD . ( Psalms 144:15 )

Now when we have negative thoughts it draws negative
results into our lives. Likewise, when we think positive
thoughts we draw positive results in as well!

After all when we are downcast it brings on depression,
worry and anxiety. All of those things are known to cause
health problems. So always think positive for; A merry
heart does good, like medicine, But a broken
spirit dries the bones. ( Proverbs 17:22 )

Now I know that; A righteous man may have many
troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all.
( Psalm 34:19 ) So again, do not let the enemy steal your
joy on any day. For you know that; Your enemy the devil
prowls around like a roaring lion looking for some-

Enjoy what God has planned for you, and
show that beautiful smile of yours. For when you smile it shows
God's joy within you!

Amen

Why Jesus is Better Than Santa Claus

Santa lives at the North Pole.....
JESUS is everywhere,

Santa rides in a sleigh.....
JESUS rides on the wind and walks on the water.

Santa comes but once a year....
JESUS is an ever present help.

Santa fills your stockings with goodies....
JESUS supplies all your needs.

Santa comes down your chimney uninvited…
JESUS stands at your door and knocks, and then enters your heart.

You have to wait in line to see Santa....
JESUS is as close as the mention of His name.

Santa lets you sit on his lap....
JESUS lets you rest in His arms.

Santa doesn't know your name, all he can say is “Hi little boy or girl, what’s your name?”..
JESUS knew our name before we did. Not only does He know our name, He knows our address too. He knows our history and future and He knows how many hairs are on our heads.

All Santa can offer is HO HO HO
JESUS offers health, help and hope.

Santa says "you better not cry”
JESUS says "Cast all your cares on me for I care for you.

Santa’s little helpers make toys I
JESUS makes new life, mends wounded hearts, repairs broken homes and builds mansions.

Santa may make you chuckle but
JESUS gives you joy that is your strength.

Santa has a belly like a bowl full of jelly....
JESUS has a heart full of love.

While Santa puts gifts under your tree.....
JESUS became our gift and died on the tree.

It’s obvious there is really no comparison. We need to remember WHO Christmas is all about.
We need to put Christ back in Christmas, Jesus is stil1 the reason for the season.
Yes. Jesus is better, he is even better than Santa Clause

The greatest example of love

I have been crucified with Christ; it is no
longer I who live, but Christ lives in me;
and the life which I now live in the flesh
I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved
me and gave Himself for me.
( Galatians 2:20 *NKJV )

Now this verse was written by the Apostle Paul, but it
also applies to you and me as well. Now you are probably
thinking how does that apply to me? Well in God's eyes
our past sin debt was paid in full when Christ died on the
cross.
.
Thus it is written; And you, being dead in your
trespasses and the uncircumcision of your
flesh, He has made alive together with Him,
having forgiven you all trespasses, having
wiped out the handwriting of requirements
that was against us, which was contrary to
us. And He has taken it out of the way, having
nailed it to the cross. ( Colossians 2:13-14 )

Therefore we should also crucify our sinful desires each
and every day. For then the marks against us in The Book of
Life will continue to be cleansed by the most precious blood
of our Savior Jesus Christ!

So, if you are ever feeling unloved remember
the tremendous sacrifice made, and the tremendous price
paid for your sins! That is the greatest example of love
that this World has ever known, and it is offered daily to
you and me as well.

Amen.

Thanks be to God for His wonderful gifts

Every good and perfect gift is from above,
coming down from the Father of the
heavenly lights, who does not change
like shifting shadows.
( James 1:17 *NIV )

There may be times we feel we are not blessed, times when
our troubles surround us. When we feel that way we should
take a good look around us, for then we will see many others
who have much less then we do. So counting our blessing
should be a daily event.

Now It is important to remember that our many blessings are
from our Heavenly Father. Therefore we should count our
many blessings and thank Him for them daily; Always giving
thanks to God the Father for everything,
in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
( Ephesians 5:20 )

Now the following words sums this up much better then I could!
They are the written words of an old song. I hope that you will
enjoy it as much as I do.

DRINKING FROM MY SAUCER

I've never made a fortune
And its probably to late now,
But I don't worry about that much
I'm happy anyhow.

And as I go along life's way
I'm reaping better than I sow.
I'm drinking from my saucer
'Cause my cup has overflowed!

Haven't got a lot of riches
And sometimes the going's tough,
But I've got loving ones around me
And that makes me rich enough.

I thank God for His blessings
And the mercies He's bestowed.
I'm drinking from my saucer
'Cause my cup has overflowed!

Oh, I remember times when things went wrong
And my faith wore somewhat thin.
But all at once the dark clouds broke
And sun peeped through again.

So Lord, help me not to gripe
About the tough rows that I've hoed.
I'm drinking from my saucer
"Cause my cup has overflowed!

If God gives me strength and courage
When the way grows steep and rough,
I'll not ask for other blessings
I'm already blessed enough.

And may I never be too busy
To help others bear their loads,
Them I'll keep drinking from my saucer
'Cause my cup has overflowed!

From a song by: Michael Combs

Therefore; Thanks be to God for His wonderful
gifts. For through Him all blessings flow indeed. Amen!
( 2 Corinthians 9:15 )

keep Jesus in the center of your life

Do you not know? Have you not
heard? The LORD is the everlasting
God, the Creator of the ends of
the earth. He will not grow tired
or weary, and his understanding
no one can fathom.
( Isaiah 40:28 *NIV )

The Puzzle:

A father wanted to read a magazine but was being bothered by
his little daughter, Kelly. Finally, he tore a sheet out of his
magazine on which was printed the map of the World.

Then tearing it into small pieces, he gave it to Kelly, and said,
"Go into the other room and see if you can put this together."
He was sure that would keep her busy all afternoon!

After only a few minutes, Kelly returned and handed him the
map, correctly fitted together. The father was surprised and asked
how she had finished so quickly.

"Oh," she said, on the other side of the paper is a picture of
Jesus. When I got all of Jesus back where He belonged, then the
World came together.....
__________________

We may Smile and have a Wonderful Day with Jesus in the
center of our picture as well for; He tends his flock
like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs
in his arms and carries them close to
his heart; he gently leads those that have
young. ( Isaiah 40:11 )

So always remember to
keep Jesus in the center of your life, and your World will come
together as well!

May the God of peace,
who through the blood of the eternal
covenant brought back from the dead our
Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the
sheep, equip you with everything good
for doing his will, and may he work in us
what is pleasing to him, through Jesus
Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever.
Amen. ( Hebrews 13:20-21 )

The things which are impossible with men are possible with God

You are my hiding place;
You shall preserve me from trouble;
You shall surround me with songs
of deliverance.
( Psalms 32:7 *NKJV )

When problems surround us and we feel
overwhelmed by them, we all would like to escape from
them even if it is for only a little while! When we turn our
problems over to God we can escape!

Thus, just like king David who wrote; Though I
walk in the midst of trouble, You will
revive me; You will stretch out Your
hand Against the wrath of my enemies,
And Your right hand will save me. For
in the time of trouble He shall hide
me in His pavilion; In the secret place
of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He
shall set me high upon a rock.
( Psalms 138:7 ) ( Psalm 27:5 )

For; The LORD will guide you continually,
And satisfy your soul in drought, And
strengthen your bones; You shall be like
a watered garden, And like a spring of
water, whose waters do not fail.
( Isaiah 58:11 )

So, the next time problems start getting you
down, and you think it is impossible to handle them,
remember the words of our Savior Jesus Christ; "The
things which are impossible with men
are possible with God." Amen.
( Luke 18:27 )

You are the light of the world

You were once darkness, but now you are light in
the Lord. Live as children of light for the fruit of
the light consists in all goodness, righteousness
and truth.
( Ephesians 5:8-10 *NIV )

As Childern of Light our actions should reflect our faith, and shine
brightly to others. We should never be afraid to show our faith no
matter where we are, or whom we are with. After all we are beacons
of God's Love shining out into dark World that is searching for love
in all the wrong places. A World that is full of people without love,
hope and faith.

Therefore our Savior Jesus Christ stressed this truth in the
Sermon on the Mount, for He said, "You are the light
of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden.
Neither do people light a lamp and put it under
a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it
gives light to everyone in the house.
( Matthew 5:14-15 )

Further, you probably have known people that
seem to light up a room when they enter, well, "In the same
way, let your light shine before men, that they may
see your good deeds and praise your Father
in Heaven." ( Matthew 5:16 )

Now you may be thinking "my light is a dim one." Well, I believe
that our dim light is magnified by the immense mirror of God's Love.
Thus it truly shines brightly when we tell others about our Heavenly
Father, and show goodness toward the people in our lives! So try
it today and see for yourself, for if everyone would light just one
little candle what a bright World this would be!

Amen

ONE MINUTE EACH NIGHT.......PRAY

God has given us the power to change the outcome of everything that is happening in America,
including the Presidential election
If we do this
ONE MINUTE EACH NIGHT...

Do you believe we can believe God’s Word? Call upon His name, then stand back and watch His wonders to behold. This scripture gives us, as Christians, ownership of this land and the ability to call upon God to heal it. I challenge you to do so. We have never been more desperate than now for God to heal our land.

This election is the scariest I remember in my lifetime. 2 Chronicles 7:14...'If My people, which are called by My Name shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.'

During WWII, there was an advisor to Churchill who organized a group of people who dropped what they were doing every night at a prescribed hour for one minute to collectively pray for the safety of England, its people and peace. This had an amazing effect as bombing stopped. There is now a group of people organizing the same thing here in America.

The United States of America and our citizens need prayer more than ever!!! If you would like to participate: each evening at

9:00 PM Eastern Time;
8:00 PM Central;
7:00 PM Mountain;
6:00 PM Pacific;
STOP WHATEVER YOU ARE DOING

and spend one minute praying for the safety of the United States, our troops, our citizens, for peace in the world, the upcoming election, that the Bible will remain the basis for the laws governing our land and that Christianity will grow in the U.S.

If you know anyone who would like to participate, please pass this along. Someone said if people really understood the full extent of the power we have available through prayer, we might be speechless. Our prayers are the most powerful asset we have.

Thank you. Please pass this on to anyone who you think will want to join us. God Bless You!!!

The LORD is my helper

When you pass through the waters, I will be
with you; And through the rivers, they shall
not overflow you. When you walk through
the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall
the flame scorch you.
( Isaiah 43:2 *NKJV )

There are times in our life when we find ourselves in
difficult situations. Times when our faith is put to the test.
We may even feel that God has abandoned us, and that
we are all alone.

When you feel that way remember that it is written;
"I will never leave you nor forsake you." So we may
boldly say: "The LORD is my helper; I will not fear.
What can man do to me?" ( Hebrews 13:5-6 )

Therefore, when you pass through the waters of difficulty,
and the flames of distress, know that God is always there
with you. For, The LORD is good, A stronghold in the
day of trouble; And He knows those who trust in Him.
( Nahum 1:7 )

So, always remember that you are walking,
hand in hand, with your Heavenly Father when those difficult
times arrive, and that He Loves You very much because
you are one of His beloved children!

Now, have a Great Weekend. Amen.

My Thoughts and Prayers for Barack Obama

My Thoughts.....
These are my thoughts regardless of what you think or say. I am behind Barack Obama, 1st and foremost because he is a man of color (A BLACK MAN) and a man of GOD second, As a Child/Man of God, he is the light of the world, we all are. It seems as though I have known Barack long before he became a political figure, so what I post on this blog is for me an those who are in support of him. Thirdly, This country needs a HOPE and Obama is hope for a lot of people regardless of race. Some of us think he can actually make a change and are willing to let him show us.

If you are not in support of him you can keep your comments to yourself because they will not be posted here, they will be deleted. Don't try to hinder or persuade me to change, because I won't try to persuade you, it is a lesson you will have to learn on your own. We can still co-exist in this world together.

This post go hand and hand with my post of "Let Your Light Shine"

if we walk in the light as He is in the light,
we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of
Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.
( 1 JOHN 1:7 ) So it's a win, win, situation indeed

My Prayers....
Dear God, I pray for optimum health, wisdom, mental clarity and political prosperity for Barack Obama, and for his protection, as he seeks to become our President!

Amen.

Let your light so shine

Do all things without complaining and disputing, that
you may become blameless and harmless, children
of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and
perverse generation, among whom you shine as
lights in the world,
( Philippians 2:14-15 *NKJV )

As a Child of God, You are the light of the world.
( Matthew 5:14 ) For you were once darkness, but now
you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.
( Ephesians 5:8 )

When we walk in God's Light our hearts become reflectors
of His Great Light. We become a beacon to others especially
those who are still living in darkness.

So, Let your light so shine before men, that they
may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
For by doing so we plant seeds of faith in those who have
lost their way, and I say to you that likewise there will be
more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over
ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance.
( Matthew 5:16 ) & ( Luke 15:7 )

Further, if we walk in the light as He is in the light,
we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of
Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.
( 1 JOHN 1:7 ) So it's a win, win, situation indeed.

Therefore, Arise, shine ; For your light has come!
And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you. Amen.
( Isaiah 60:1)

Remember

Remember that your presence is a present to the world.
Remember that you are a unique and unrepeatable creation.
Remember that your life can be what you want it to be.
Remember to count your blessings, not your troubles.
Remember that you'll make it through whatever comes along.
Remember that most of the answers you need are within you.
Remember those dreams waiting to be realized.
Remember that decisions are too important to leave to chance.
Remember to always reach for the best that is within you.
Remember that nothing wastes more energy than worry.
Remember that not getting what you want is sometimes a

wonderful stroke of luck.
Remember that the longer you carry a grudge, the heavier it gets.
Remember not to take things too seriously.
Remember to laugh.
Remember that a little love goes a long way.
Remember that a lot goes forever.
Remember that happiness is more often found in giving than getting.
Remember that life's treasures are people, not things.
Remember that miracles still happen.

The Dearest Friend!

I have a Friend in Jesus,
He's ever walking near
To share my every burden
And take away my fear.

It's in His precious name I pray
To our God above;
It's through His sacred teachings that
I learned the way to love.

God did not put me on this earth
To walk life's path alone;
He sent His Son to be my Guide,
The dearest Friend I've known.

No other One could be so true,
He bore the cross for me;
Because He died for my sins
I must ever faithful be.

If you are lonely on life's way
And feel that no one cares,
You have a Friend in Jesus
If you will kneel in prayer.

LET THE PEACE OF CHRIST RULE YOUR HEARTS

THOUGH THE MOUNTAINS BE SHAKEN AND THE HILLS
BE REMOVED, YET MY UNFAILING LOVE FOR YOU WILL
NOT BE SHAKEN NOR MY COVENANT OF PEACE BE
REMOVED, SAYS THE LORD, WHO HAS COMPASSION
ON YOU.
( ISAIAH 54:10 *NIV )

There is no way to measure the tremendous love and
compassion that God has for those who love Him:
FOR THIS IS LOVE: NOT THAT WE LOVED GOD, BUT
HE LOVED US AND SENT HIS SON AS AN ATONING
SACRIFICE FOR OUR SINS. ( 1 JOHN 4:10 ) Therefore;
WE KNOW AND RELY ON THE LOVE GOD HAS FOR
US. GOD IS LOVE. WHOEVER LIVES IN LOVE LIVES
IN GOD, AND GOD IN HIM. ( 1 JOHN 4:16 )

Also through our faith we come to know peace as we
have never known it before, for it is written: THEREFORE,
SINCE WE HAVE BEEN JUSTIFIED THROUGH FAITH,
WE HAVE PEACE WITH GOD THROUGH OUR LORD
JESUS CHRIST. ( ROMANS 5:1 )

Therefore, LET THE PEACE OF CHRIST RULE
YOUR HEARTS, SINCE AS MEMBERS OF ONE BODY
YOU WERE CALLED TO PEACE. AND BE THANKFUL.
( COLOSSIANS 3:15 )

If you haven't already, give your heart to
God, for then: THE PEACE OF GOD, WHICH
TRANSCENDS ALL UNDERSTANDING, WILL GUARD
YOUR HEART AND YOUR MIND IN JESUS CHRIST.
Amen.

PRIDE GOES BEFORE DESTRUCTION

PRIDE GOES BEFORE DESTRUCTION, AND A HAUGHTY
SPIRIT BEFORE A FALL.
( PROVERBS 16:22 *NIV )

We are to humble ourselves, and not let our pride or
ego get in the way when dealing with others. For
it is written: WHOEVER EXALTS HIMSELF WILL BE
HUMBLED, AND WHOEVER HUMBLES HIMSELF WILL
BE EXALTED. ( MATTHEW 23:12 ) For, GOD
OPPOSES THE PROUD BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE
HUMBLE. ( JAMES 4:6 )

So never let your pride or ego convince you that you
are more righteous than another. Alter all, we are all God's
Children and He loves each of us equally! THEREFORE
LET US STOP PASSING JUDGMENT ON ONE
ANOTHER. INSTEAD, MAKE UP YOUR MIND NOT TO
PUT ANY STUMBLING BLOCK OR OBSTACLE IN YOUR
BROTHER'S WAY. ( ROMANS 14:13 )

Also remember the words of our Savior Jesus Christ,
for He said of the end time: MANY WHO ARE FIRST
WILL BE LAST, AND MANY WHO ARE LAST WILL BE
FIRST. ( MATTHEW 19:30 )

Therefore, as God's Child we should: HUMBLE YOUR-
SELVES BEFORE THE LORD AND HE WILL LIFT YOU
UP. ( JAMES 4:10 ) FOR THE LORD TAKES DELIGHT IN
HIS PEOPLE; HE CROWNS THE HUMBLE WITH
SALVATION. Amen. ( PSALM 149:4 )

Have a Wonderful Day, and may God Bless You!

THE THOUGHTS OF MAN

THE LORD KNOWS THE THOUGHTS OF MAN; HE KNOWS
THAT THEY ARE FUTILE.
( PSALM 94:11 *NIV )

We are all Architects of our own future! The thoughts that
we have today dictate what our future holds for us tomorrow.
Therefore a person who has positive thoughts shall have
positive results, just as a person who has negative thoughts
shall attract negative results in their life.

Therefore if we start each day by counting all of our
blessings, and then try our best to have positive thoughts
during the day, our hearts will be merry! After all, FROM THE
FULLNESS OF HIS GRACE WE HAVE ALL RECEIVED ONE
BLESSING AFTER ANOTHER. ( JOHN 1:16 )

Now this is because: EVERY GOOD AND PERFECT GIFT
IS FROM ABOVE, COMING DOWN FROM THE FATHER OF
THE HEAVENLY LIGHTS, WHO DOES NOT CHANGE LIKE
SHIFTING SHADOWS. ( JAMES 1:17 )

So, why not: SING AND MAKE MUSIC IN YOUR
HEART TO THE LORD, ALWAYS GIVING THANKS TO GOD
THE FATHER FOR EVERYTHING, IN THE NAME OF OUR
LORD JESUS CHRIST. Amen.
( EPHESIANS 5:19-20 )

The Power of Prayer

IS ANY ONE OF YOU IN TROUBLE? HE SHOULD PRAY. IS
ANYONE HAPPY? LET HIM SING SONGS OF PRAISE. IS
ANY ONE OF YOU SICK? HE SHOULD CALL THE ELDERS
OF THE CHURCH TO PRAY OVER HIM AND ANOINT HIM
WITH OIL IN THE NAME OF THE LORD. FOR THE PRAYER
OF A RIGHTEOUS MAN IS POWERFUL AND EFFECTIVE.
( JAMES 5:13; 14 & 16 *NIV )

One of the most powerful things on this Earth is "The Power
Of Prayer!" For, THE EYES OF THE LORD ARE ON THE
RIGHTEOUS AND HIS EARS ARE ATTENTIVE TO THEIR CRY;
THE RIGHTEOUS CRY OUT, AND THE LORD HEARS THEM;
HE DELIVERS THEM FROM ALL THEIR TROUBLES.
( PSALM 34:15 & 17 )

So let us not forget to speak to God in prayer today, and
thank Him for all He has done for each of us! Let us also pray
for those who are suffering, or are going through trials and
tribulations in their lives! Let us pray for each other as well,
and ask God to fill us with His Love, Hope, and Faith!

Therefore, I KNEEL BEFORE THE FATHER, I PRAY
THAT OUT OF HIS GLORIOUS RICHES HE MAY
STRENGTHEN YOU WITH POWER THROUGH HIS SPIRIT
IN YOUR INNER BEING, SO THAT CHRIST MAY DWELL IN
YOUR HEARTS THROUGH FAITH AND I PRAY THAT YOU,
BEING ROOTED AND ESTABLISHED IN LOVE, MAY HAVE
POWER, WITH ALL THE SAINTS, TO GRASP HOW WIDE
AND LONG AND HIGH AND DEEP IS THE LOVE OF CHRIST,
AND TO KNOW THIS LOVE THAT SURPASSES KNOWLEDGE
--THAT YOU MAY BE FILLED TO THE MEASURE OF ALL THE
FULLNESS OF GOD. Amen.

The U in JesUs

Before U were thought of or time had begun,
God even stuck U in the name of His Son.
And each time U pray, you'll see it's true
You can't spell out JesUs and not include U.
You're a pretty big part of His wonderful name,
For U, He was born; that's why He came.
And His great love for U is the reason He died.
It even takes U to spell crUcified.
Isn't it thrilling and splendidly grand,
He rose from the dead, with U in His plan?

The stones split away, the gold trUmpet blew,
and this word resUrrection is spelled with a U.
When JesUs left earth at His Upward ascension,
He felt there was one thing He just had to mention.
"Go into the world and tell them it's true,
That I love them all - Just like I love U."
So many great people are spelled with a U,
Don't they have a right to know JesUs too?
It all depends now on what U will do,
He'd like them to know, But it all starts with U.
--- Author Unknown

Therefore, why not tell others about His Great
Love, and share with them all He has done for "U" as well.
For: I TELL YOU THERE WILL BE MORE REJOICING IN
HEAVEN OVER ONE SINNER WHO REPENTS THEN
OVER NINETY-NINE RIGHTEOUS PERSONS WHO DO
NOT NEED TO REPENT. Amen. ( LUKE 15:7 )

IF ANY OF YOU LACK WISDOM, HE SHOULD ASK GOD

IF ANY OF YOU LACKS WISDOM, HE SHOULD ASK GOD,
WHO GIVES GENEROUSLY TO ALL WITHOUT FINDING
FAULT, AND IT WILL BE GIVEN TO HIM.
( JAMES 1:5 *NIV )

When you are in need of an answer to one of life's problems,
and cannot find the answer, always turn to God's Word. FOR
THE LORD GIVES WISDOM, AND FROM HIS MOUTH COMES
KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING. THEN YOU WILL
UNDERSTAND WHAT IS RIGHT AND JUST AND FAIR--EVERY
GOOD PATH. FOR KNOWLEDGE WILL BE PLEASANT TO
YOUR SOUL. DISCRETION WILL PROTECT YOU, AND
UNDERSTANDING WILL GUARD YOU.
( PROVERBS 2:6; 9; 10; 11 )

Also when we turn to the Bible GOD has promised us that:
"I WILL INSTRUCT YOU AND TEACH YOU IN THE WAY THAT
YOU SHOULD GO; I WILL COUNSEL YOU AND WATCH OVER
YOU." ( PSALM 32:8)

He further promised that when we are faced with a decision, if
we ask Him what to do, He will tell us. For it is written:
WHETHER YOU TURN TO THE RIGHT OR THE LEFT, YOUR
EARS WILL HEAR A VOICE BEHIND YOU, SAYING, "THIS IS
THE WAY; WALK IN IT." ( ISAIAH 30:21 )

So why try to face life's problems alone, for that
can be a losing battle. After all you have the awesome power of
GOD waiting to lead you! So why not: COMMIT TO THE LORD
WHATEVER YOU DO, AND YOUR PLANS WILL SUCCEED.
( PROVERBS 16:3) Then the next time that you ask "What
Would Jesus Do," you may just pick up your Bible and read all
about it in the Gospel's. Amen.

We are all guilty of committing a sin

IF YOU, O LORD, KEPT A RECORD OF SINS, O LORD
WHO COULD STAND? BUT WITH YOU THERE IS
FORGIVENESS; THEREFORE YOU ARE FEARED*.
( PSALM 130:3-4 *NIV )

*The Hebrew word translated as "feared," should have been
translated as "Revered."

We are all guilty of committing a sin once in a while, for
to be human is to be sinful. Even the Apostles of Jesus
Christ had that problem as well.

The Apostle Paul wrote: FOR WHAT I DO IS NOT THE
GOOD I WANT TO DO; NO, THE EVIL I DO NOT WANT
TO DO--THIS I KEEP DOING. WHAT A WRETCHED
MAN I AM! WHO WILL RESCUE ME FROM THIS BODY
OF DEATH?" ( ROMANS 7:19 & 24 ) To remain sinless
was a struggle for him, as well as, the rest of the Apostle's!
For sin has always been a struggle for mankind ever since
Adam and Eve commited the first one!

Therefore when we slip and sin it is very important to
repent and ask our Heavenly Father to forgive us. After
all it is written that: IF WE CONFESS OUR SINS, HE IS
FAITHFUL AND JUST AND WILL FORGIVE US OUR
SINS AND PURIFY US FROM ALL UNRIGHTEOUSNESS.
( 1 JOHN 1:9 )

This is because Jesus Christ has already paid for our
sins. Thus, IN HIM WE HAVE REDEMPTION THROUGH
HIS BLOOD, THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS, IN
ACCORDANCE WITH THE RICHES OF GOD'S GRACE.
( EPHESIANS 1:7 ) Thus we become cleansed and forgiven
from our past sins, and that includes all of them!

Therefore it is written: COME NOW, LET US REASON
TOGETHER, SAYS THE LORD. THOUGH YOUR SINS
ARE LIKE SCARLET, THEY SHALL BE WHITE AS SNOW;
THOUGH THEY ARE RED AS CRIMSON, THEY SHALL
BE LIKE WOOL. ( ISAIAH 1:18 )

So, just be the very best person that you can
be, and if you slip and sin once in a while, do not think that
God doesn't love you anymore. For no one is perfect, how-
ever once there was One, sinless and blameless, who only
taught us to love, and they Crucified Him!

PRAISE THE LORD, ALL YOU GENTILES* LAUD* HIM, ALL

PRAISE THE LORD, ALL YOU GENTILES* LAUD* HIM, ALL
YOU PEOPLES!
( PSALM 117:1 *NKJV )

Now *[laud] means, "to speak well of." The Hebrew word for
*[Gentiles] means all people except Jews.

Now this Psalm of praise to God is for His unlimited love,
for all of the people throughout the entire World!

FOR HIS MERCIFUL KINDNESS IS GREAT TOWARD US, AND
THE TRUTH OF THE LORD ENDURES FOREVER. PRAISE
THE LORD! ( PSALM 117:2 )

Would you believe those two verses are the entire
117 PSALM? For it is the shortest Chapter in the entire Bible!
It is also the middle Chapter of the Bible as well!

Now I ask you, have you ever said to yourself, "I can't think of
anything God has done for me, so how can I praise Him?" Well,
this very short Psalm gives us two reasons for praising our
Heavenly Father: His love toward us, and His faithfulness that
endures forever.

Therefore just think if God did nothing else for us, He would still
be worthy of our highest praise because of all the Blessings He
has already given to us! So, PRAISE THE LORD. HOW GOOD
IT IS TO SING PRAISES TO OUR GOD, HOW PLEASANT AND
FITTING TO PRAISE HIM! Indeed! Amen. ( PSALM 147:1 )

The Tongue

The Tongue

Your words, your dreams, and your thoughts have power to create conditions in your life. What you speak about, you can bring about.

If you keep saying you can't stand your job
, you might lose your job.
If you keep saying
you can't stand your body
, your body can become sick.
If you keep saying
you can't stand your car
, your car could be stolen or just stop operating.
If you keep saying
you're broke
, guess what? You'll always be broke.
If you ! keep saying
you can't trust a man or trust a woman
, you will always find someone in your life to hurt and betray you.
If you keep saying
you can't find a job
, you will remain unemployed.
If you keep saying
you can't find someone to love you or believe in you
, your very thought will attract more experiences to confirm your beliefs.
If you keep talking about a
divorce or break up in a relationship
, then you might end up with it.

Turn your
thoughts and conversations around to be more positive and power packed with faith, hope, love and action
.
Don't be afraid to believe that you can have what you want and deserve
.

Watch your Thoughts, they become words.
Watch your Words, they become actions.
Watch your Actions, they become habits.
Watch your Habits, they become character.
Watch your Character, for it becomes your Destiny.

The minute you settle for less than you deserve! , you get even less than you settle for.
Thought I would share this with you.

In the search for Me, I discovered Truth.
In the search for Truth, I discovered Love.
In the search for Love, I discovered GOD.
And in God, I have found Everything.

Be Blessed

Watch how your
circumstances and situations begin to change when you change the way you speak.

LETS JUST KISS AND SAY GOOD-BYE

LETS JUST KISS AND SAY GOOD-BYE by T.D. Jakes

There used to be a group called the Manhattans. An early 70's group.
This group had one of the smoothest tenor lead singer of all time. His
name was Gerald Austin. The groups hit song was entitled "Let's Just
Kiss and Say Good-bye." It was a song about a break up between a couple
that had been together for a long time. Many of you old-heads may say,
"What do you know about that song boy." Well mom and dad used to play it
a lot on the record player, we had it on 45!! Some of y'all know what
I'm talking about.

When I thought of the lyrics of the song it made me wonder about a kiss.

"I had to meet you here today. There's just so many things to say.
Please don't stop me till I'm through, this is something I hate to do.
We've been meeting here so long.....etc....Please darling don't you cry,
Let's just kiss and say good-bye! Powerful lyrics. But why a kiss?

A kiss is a term of endearment. A kiss is something that is the seal of
approval. Us guys always felt that getting the first kiss from a young
lady was the start of something. A kiss is usually how you greet your
wife. A kiss is how you say good night to your children. A kiss is what
you share when you want to let a person know that you love them!

So why in Luke 22:47 did Judas betray Jesus with a kiss? This gives a
whole new meaning for a kiss! Jesus had 12 friends that we know as
disciples. He chose his disciples Himself. The bible > says that he knew
one of them was the devil. So for 3 years of Jesus' life he walked,
talked, and had breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a man that he knew
would betray Him. Some may wonder, why didn't Jesus expose Judas for
what he was? Why did Jesus allow Judas to continue on with Him. The
answer is simple. Jesus knew that prophecy had to be fulfilled. He knew
he had an ultimate purpose in life. So in order to fulfill the promise,
Jesus had to let someone he didn't necessarily care for as a person tag
along to keep Himself focused on the purpose.

Here goes....Get ready to SHOUT!

There are people in Your life that are there only to bother you. These
people are in your life to keep you on your knees. These people are in
your life because they are a part of the problem and the solution. These
same people will help catapult you to your destiny! When Judas betrayed
Jesus with a kiss, he opened our eyes to the fact that a kiss is not
always what we intend it to be. Be careful who you let put their lips on
you. When I say lips it's not always in the kissing form. Be careful of
who speaks well of you. Be careful of who always has an answer.
Be careful of the ones that seem to like you but it's just something
about them that you just can't put your finger on. Everyone in your life
is not meant to stay in your life. Let's just kiss and say good bye. You
can't carry everyone with you. There are some places that God wants you
to go that only you can go. Learn to love, leave, and live your life as
God intended! Next time you're betrayed by someone you THOUGHT was a
friend, just remember "Let's Just Kiss and Say Good Bye! Jesus already
knew the betrayal was on the way.

So get over it, step on it, but don't
live your life Wondering Why...

God's wonderful work

"HE HAS MADE HIS WONDERFUL WORKS TO
BE REMEMBERED; THE LORD IS GRACIOUS
AND FULL OF COMPASSION."
( PSALM 111:4 *NKJV )

No matter where we are in this World, when
we look around us, we see God's wonderful work
everywhere. It is no wonder that the twenty-four
elders before the throne of God praise Him and
say, "YOU ARE WORTHY O LORD, TO RECEIVE
GLORY AND HONOR AND POWER; FOR YOU
CREATED ALL THINGS, AND BY YOUR WILL
THEY EXIST AND WERE CREATED."
( REVELATION 4:11 )

Have you ever taken the time to enjoy a
beautiful sunrise or sunset? Ever noticed the
beauty of a rose? Ever looked at the mountains
or the ocean with awe? Ever spend time just
looking at the beautiful clouds above, or at a
rainbow after a storm?

God's beautiful creation, and His great Love
surrounds us when we take the time to notice.
For, "HE HAS MADE EVERYTHING BEAUTIFUL
IN ITS TIME." ( ECCLESIASTES 3:11 )
So why not stop for a moment today, and look
around, savoring all the beautiful sights? You
will find that a great peace will fall upon you
when you do!

Now may the peace of God that surpasses all
understanding, be with you today and always,
as you enjoy our Heavenly Father's wonderful
works! God Bless You,
Amen.

LET HEAVEN AND EARTH PRAISE HIM

LET HEAVEN AND EARTH PRAISE HIM, THE SEAS AND
ALL THAT MOVE IN THEM.
( PSALM 69:34 *NIV )

There are times when we may feel that there is nothing to
praise God for. After all life can become very difficult at times.
So when you are feeling that way why not read the 103rd
PSALM, for David lists several reasons to praise God in that
Psalm.

For example David wrote:
PRAISE THE LORD, O MY SOUL; ALL MY INMOST BEING,
PRAISE HIS HOLY NAME.

PRAISE THE LORD, O MY SOUL, AND FORGET NOT ALL
HIS BENEFITS.

WHO FORGIVES ALL YOUR SINS AND HEALS ALL YOUR
DISEASES,

WHO REDEEMS YOUR LIFE FROM THE PIT AND CROWNS
YOU WITH LOVE AND COMPASSION,

WHO SATISFIES YOUR DESIRES WITH GOOD THINGS
SO THAT YOUR YOUTH IS RENEWED LIKE THE
EAGLE'S. and those are just the first five verses, there are
seventeen more verses to be found. (PSALM 103:1-5 )

When you think about it, the list is really endless! So
come let us praise the Lord and: COME, LET US BOW
DOWN IN WORSHIP, LET US KNEEL BEFORE THE LORD
OUR MAKER; FOR WE ARE THE PEOPLE OF HIS
PASTURE, THE FLOCK UNDER HIS CARE.
( PSALM 95:6-7 )

Have a wonderful day, and may the love of Christ
fill your heart and mind, now and always! Amen.

keep your mind focused on Our Savior Jesus Christ

SET YOUR MIND ON THINGS ABOVE, NOT ON THINGS ON
THE EARTH.
( COLOSSIANS 3:2 *NKJV )

It is very easy for us to get caught up in this materialistic
World of ours. Before we even know it we start desiring a
fancy new car, or a new home, or some other material
possession that soon dominates our hearts and minds.

Now these things can become the most important things
in our lives, and can not help replacing God as Number One
in our hearts! FOR WHERE YOUR TREASURE IS, THERE
YOUR HEART WILL BE ALSO. ( LUKE 12:34 )

After all, THOSE WHO LIVE ACCORDING TO THE FLESH
SET THEIR MINDS ON THE THINGS OF THE FLESH, BUT
THOSE WHO LIVE ACCORDING TO THE SPIRIT, THE
THINGS OF THE SPIRIT. FOR TO BE CARNALLY MINDED
IS DEATH, BUT TO BE SPIRITUALLY MINDED IS LIFE AND
PEACE! ( ROMANS 8:5-7 )

So keep your mind focused on Our Savior Jesus Christ so:
THAT CHRIST MAY DWELL IN YOUR HEARTS THROUGH
FAITH. ( EPHESIANS 3:17 ) For after all we are not human
beings having a Spiritual experience, but Spiritual beings
having a human experience!

TO HIM WHO IS ABLE TO DO
EXCEEDINGLY ABUNDANTLY ABOVE ALL THAT WE ASK
OR THINK, ACCORDING TO THE POWER THAT WORKS IN
US, TO HIM BE GLORY IN THE CHURCH BY CHRIST JESUS
TO ALL GENERATIONS, FOREVER AND EVER. AMEN.

Be a People Builder

Today's Scripture

“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up…” (I Thessalonians 5:11).

God designed us to live in relationship with others. He wants us to help each other grow. None of us will reach our highest potential by ourselves. We need people in our lives to encourage us, and we need to encourage the people in our lives and help them reach their potential. The word “encourage” means to “urge forward.” Many times you can see things in other people that they don’t see themselves. You can see their strengths and talents. You can see that God has a special plan for them even though they may be going through a difficult time. Don’t assume that people see what you see in them. Take a moment and encourage them either with a kind word or a simple note. There might be a special gift you can give that will remind them of their goal or dream. In whatever way you can, urge the people in your life to keep moving forward. If you’ll be a people builder and help others fulfill their dreams, God will help you fulfill your dreams also, and you’ll live in blessing all the days of your life.

A Prayer for Today

Father in heaven, thank You for the people You have placed in my life. Help me build them up and find creative ways to urge them forward to Your glory.

In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Who Has Been Hindering Your Growth

One day all employees reached the office and saw a big sign on the door on which was written: “Yesterday the person who has been hindering your growth in this company passed away. We invite you to join the funeral in the room that has been
prepared in the gym.”

In the beginning, they all got sad for the death of one of their colleagues but after a while they started getting curious to know who was the person that hindered their growth. The excitement in the gym was such that security agents were ordered to control the crowd within the room.

The more people reached the coffin, the more the excitement heated up. Everyone thought, 'Who is this person that was hindering my progress? Well, at least he died!' One by one the thrilled employees got closer to
the coffin, and when they looked inside, they suddenly became speechless. They stood near the coffin, shocked and in silence, as if someone had touched the deepest part of their soul. There was a mirror inside the coffin...everyone who looked in could see themselves. There was also a sign next to the mirror that said:

'There is only one person who is capable to set limits to your growth, it is YOU!!! Your life does not change when your boss changes, when your friends change, when your parents change, when your partner changes, when your company changes. Your life changes when YOU change, when you go beyond your limiting beliefs.

BLESSINGS OF HEAVEN ABOVE

BY THE GOD OF YOUR FATHER WHO WILL HELP YOU,
AND BY THE ALMIGHTY WHO WILL BLESS YOU WITH
BLESSINGS OF HEAVEN ABOVE.
( GENESIS 49:25 * NKJV )

God's many blessings continue to please us, so we
should do our best to please God as well!

We do that by obeying His Commandments and by
loving our neighbors as ourselves. For our Savior Jesus
Christ said, "YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD
WITH ALL YOUR HEART, WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND
WITH ALL YOUR MIND. THIS IS THE FIRST AND GREAT
COMMANDMENT. AND THE SECOND IS LIKE IT:
YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.
ON THESE TWO COMMANDMENTS HANG ALL THE
LAW AND THE PROPHETS." ( MATTHEW 22:39-40 )

So, do your best each day to live by God's
Commandments, and share your love with others so:
THAT YOU MAY WALK WORTHY OF THE LORD,
FULLY PLEASING HIM, BEING FRUITFUL IN EVERY
GOOD WORK AND INCREASING IN THE
KNOWLEDGE OF GOD. ( COLOSSIANS 1:10 )

Now when you do, His blessings will flow abundantly
to you! For it is even written that: WHEN A MAN'S
WAYS PLEASE THE LORD, HE MAKES EVEN HIS
ENEMIES TO BE A PEACE WITH HIM. Amen!

National Day of Prayer

The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trust in Him and I am helped. Psalm 28:7

Thursday, May 1st is National Day of Prayer and I hope that everyone will set aside time during your day to share in a word of prayer with your friends, families, co-workers, neighbors, etc. We are all in need of prayer for our lives and our circumstances. The struggles of the world and the obstacles that we are faced with daily are enough to wear the body down. But there is a word from the Lord, and through our prayers and petitions to Him, he will handle all circumstances. No problem is beyond the measure of God's capability to handle for us. He can do exceedingly abundantly all that we could ever ask or think. It's in His word.

God is a good God and He is faithful. Each new day brings new blessings to each of us. Thank you God for your continued favor of our lives and our family members daily. For you are so worthy of all the honor and praise. To God be all the glory.

So, if you have not made plans to fellowship in prayer at a local church or meeting group, you can pray where ever you may be.
The prayers of the righteous availeth much...

Dear God, as I begin this day,
Let me turn my thoughts to you
And ask Your help in guiding me
In everything I say and do.
Give me the patience that I need
To keep my peace of mind
And with life's cares, I hope, dear God,
Some Happiness to find.
Let me live but for Today
Not worrying about what is ahead,
For I have trust that you will see
That I get my "daily bread."

I will be in prayer for each of you and your families that God's continued blessings will be in your midst and your pathways will be straight. I pray In Jesus' name that the enemy has to flee and victory will be yours in
all areas.

"Prayer is spiritual communication between man and God, a two-way relationship in which man should not only talk to God but also listen to Him." Billy Graham.

Blessings for a wonderful rest of the week - and be encouraged.

You will overcome in the end

Negative situations are NOT PERMANENT, so why should you allow your mind to be ruled by them?

For I am persuaded beyond doubt (am sure) that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor things impending and threatening nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
ROMANS 8:38, 39

AS YOU READ these powerful words from Romans 8 keep in mind they came from the apostle Paul. Consider his life experience as expressed through the Book of Acts, and you realize that this was a man who was tested by adversity and negative situations on a grand scale. He suffered at every level a person can suffer both from those outside the church as well as from some inside the church. Having faced the worst Paul refused to allow these situations to rule his life because he knew that however much they might affect his life they could not separate him from the love of God.

Your overcoming strength in life is that God is for you and that your risen Lord and Savior has opened the door to His love and care that cannot be shut by anyone or anything else.

You will overcome in the end. Have a Thoughtful Tuesday
