A New Desire

Starting Your Day/Week Right.

For I endorse and delight in the Law of God in my inmost self [with my new nature].

Romans 7:22

When we are born again, we get a new "want to." The law says we "have to, should, and ought to," but we want to do the right thing because God has put a new heart in us to replace the hard stony one that used to be indifferent to Him and His will (see Ezekiel 36:26).

Learn to recognize the difference between the desires of your flesh and the desires placed in you by the Holy Spirit. Psalm 1:1-2 says, "BLESSED (HAPPY, fortunate, prosperous, and enviable) is the man who walks and lives not in the counsel of the ungodly...But his delight and desire are in the law of the Lord, and on His law (the percepts, the instructions, the teachings of God) he habitually meditates (ponders and studies) by day and by night."

Quality Is Better Than Quantity

I call to remembrance my song in the night; with my heart I meditate and my spirit searches diligently.

Psalm 77:6
This bible verse will be one of my favorites, because I am always thinking of singing for the lord and on Saturday, I will do just that, I have put together a Victorian Tea at my church and guess who is singing? I have been singing this song day and night, I ask for your prayers that my voice is annointed as I have already asked God for the annointing! Have a great weekend!

God cares more about the quality of what you learn than the quantity of teaching to which you are exposed. He would rather you read one scripture verse and get revelation out of it than to read two whole books in the Bible and not have a clue about what you read.

Listen for key messages that the Lord is specifically speaking to you when you hear good teaching through television, radio, sermon tapes, a church service, or weekly Bible study. Ask God to show you how to apply what you hear to your own life. Meditate on His Word each day and look for ways to use what you have learned. Then you will know that you are engaging in and enjoying true quality time with Him.

Get Peace from God

If any of you is deficient in wisdom, let him ask of the giving God [Who gives] to everyone liberally and ungrudgingly, without reproaching or faultfinding, and it will be given him.

James 1:5

Get Peace from God

Be careful when somebody makes a suggestion that sounds good; not every good idea is a God-idea. Don't rush into making a decision or accepting a new responsibility without praying about it first.

Slow down long enough to ask God for wisdom, and listen for His guidance. Take a little bit of time to see if you have peace about the idea. If you don't have peace, you don't even have to understand why you don't have peace. Just don't do it!

Combatting Fear with Prayer

...The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].
-James 5:16

Fear attacks everyone. It is Satan's way of tormenting us and preventing us from going forward so we cannot enjoy the life Jesus died to give us.

Fears are not realities, they are False Evidence Appearing Real. But if we accept the fears that Satan offers and give voice to them, we open the door for the enemy and close the door to God.

Faith is released through prayer, which makes tremendous power available, dynamic in its working.

Satan seeks to weaken us through fear, but God strengthens us as we fellowship with Him in prayer. The Bible teaches us to watch and pray. (Matthew 26:41.) I believe the major reference in this passage is to watching ourselves and the attacks that the enemy launches against our minds and emotions. When these attacks are detected, we should pray immediately. We may think the attack will go away but we must remember that it is when we pray that power is released against the enemy-not when we think about praying later.

Pray about everything and fear nothing. I believe you will find this decision to be one that will produce more joy and peace for your everyday living.

When fear knocks at the door, let faith answer.

Do This:

Remember that fear is just False Evidence Appearing Real. When fear knocks on your door, let faith answer.

A Prayer for you Today!

You never know when God is going to bless you!

Good things happen when you least expect them to .

Dear Lord, I thank You for this day. I thank You for my being able to see and to hear this morning. I'm blessed because You are a forgiving God and an understanding God. You have done so much for me and You keep on blessing me. Forgive me this day for everything I have done, said or thought that was not pleasing to you.

I ask now for Your forgiveness. Please keep me safe from all danger and harm. Help me to start this day with a new attitude and plenty of gratitude. Let me make the best of each and every day to clear my mind so that I can hear from You. Please broaden my mind that I can accept all things. Let me not whine and whimper over things I have no control over.

And It's the best response when I'm pushed beyond my limits.

I know that when I can't pray, You listen to my heart. Continue to use me to do Your will. Continue to bless me that I may be a blessing to others. Keep me strong that I may help the weak... Keep me uplifted that I may have words of encouragement for others. I pray for those that are lost and can't find their way. I pray for those that are misjudged and misunderstood. I pray for those who don't know You intimately. I pray for those that will delete this without sharing it with others. I pray for those that don't believe

But I thank you that I believe. I believe that God changes people and God changes things. I pray for all my sisters and brothers.

For each and every family member in their households. I pray for peace, love and joy in their homes that they are out of debt and all their needs are met. I pray that every eye that reads this knows there is no problem, circumstance, or situation greater than God. Every battle is in Your hands for You to fight.

God
I love you and I need you, come into my heart please.

I pray that these words be received into the hearts of every eye that sees it.

Amen!

Just repeat the prayer and see how God moves.

Please share this message with other people and know by sharing this prayer, that you will be blessed.

Great Opportunity and Great Adversity

I thank God today for giving me great opportunities as I grow older. I once was lost but thank God, I am found, I was blind but now I see. This inspiratonal blog has given me the opportunity to share inspirational message with my family and friends and be of service to God, by keeping you uplifted through the week when you need inspiration the most. I am sturggling with adversities, but I am working my way through it. I am inspired by your comments. Some have really been a inspiration to me to continue with this blog and lets me know that I am helping someone in someway. Continue to send your comments and you can post them here on the site.

"A wide door for effective service has opened to me, and there are many adversaries."

(1 Corinthians 16:9)

As a Christian, you will be given great opportunities to step out and grow in faith. But these opportunities are also frequently accompanied by some great adversity or challenge. Why does God do that? Because He knows that nothing worthwhile is ever easy, and the same is true when it comes to His work in your life. When Jesus was walking on the water, Peter called out to Him and Peter walked on the water toward Jesus. The problem is that Peter took his eyes off Jesus and worried about the waters, so he sank only to be saved by Jesus. Peter took a great opportunity, but there was danger if he took his eyes off Jesus. You can apply that lesson to your own life, because you will have supernatural opportunities. Just be sure to keep your focus on God!

A Prayer for Today

God, I know that You will give me great opportunities today,
and I pray that I will have the faith and determination to keep my eyes on You.

In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Be still and know that I am God

Psalm 46:10 "Be still and know that I am God."

So many times we make situations more than they are due to our anxiety,

CALM DOWN! God has your life under control; He knows how to handle even the seemingly complex situation with ease.

HUSH! Stop having pity parties and talking about your business all the time; don't you know that the power of death and life is in the tongue! Stop speaking negative things into existence in your life and in others.

QUIT TRIPPIN'! When you look at your situations through your eyes, you often read more into the situation than what is there. It's not as bad as you think particularly if God is in your life; Stop over analyzing your life.

Be courageous
2 Timothy 1:7 - "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of Love, and of a sound
mind."

Fear is not of God. Have the courage to step out on faith and do the seemingly impossible. Start your own business; go into the ministry; apply for that promotion; anything that you've been afraid to do and you know that God has called you to do - JUST DO IT!

Have confidence
Philippians 4:13 - "I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me."
Remember, greater is He that's within you than he that's in the world. You have the power of the most High God working in you, and you have His Son steadily making intercession for you. You have nothing to worry about! Walk with your head up! You say you have low self-esteem; somebody told you that you'd never amount to anything; the devil is a liar! Know that you are somebody not because Jesus said it, but because you are a child of The King!

Walk in the VICTORY!
Romans 8:28 - "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose."

Does anything else need to be said? The jury has been out and the verdict is in - YOU WIN!

In your finances - YOU WIN!
On your job - YOU WIN!
In your relationships (married, single, divorced, family, friends) -YOU WIN!!
In your health - YOU WIN!

God has already worked it out for you. It may not come the way you think it should come (or when you think it should), but remember - CALM DOWN, SHUT UP, AND QUIT TRIPPIN '! He's working it out for "YOUR" good (in His
time).

Do not ask the Lord to guide your footsteps, if you are not willing to move your feet.

Be Blessed TODAY !!

Don't spend major time with minor people

This is a message not only for my friends and family but for myself. I find myself only on speaking/greeting terms with a lot of friends and family when we should be more than what we are to each other and it is hard for me to let go, but I am learning LORD!

Don't spend major time with minor people. If there are people in your life that continually disappoint you, break promises, stomp on your dreams, too judgmental, have different values and don't have your back during difficult times...that is not a friend.

To have a friend, be a friend. Sometimes in life as you grow, your friends will either grow or go. Surround yourself with people who reflect values, goals interests and lifestyle.

When I think of any of my successes, I am thankful to GOD from whom all blessings flow, and to my family and friends that enrich my life.

Over the years my phone book has changed because I changed for the better. At first you think you're going to be alone, but after a while new people show up in your life that make your life so much sweeter and easier to endure.

Remember what your elders used to say, "Birds of a feather flock together. If you're an eagle, don't hang around chickens: Chickens Can't Fly!

I love the Lord and thank Him for all that he does in my life, therefore, I'm passing this on. Yes I do love Jesus. He is my source of existence and Savior. He keeps me functioning each and everyday. Without Him, I will be nothing.
Without Him, I am nothing but with Him I can do all things. Phil 4:13

If you love Jesus, share this message with other people !!!!!!

Be Positive - Be Progressive -
Take the time to make a positive difference in someone's life.
Walk by faith, Not by sight
Receive God's blessings
Heal the past; live the present; dream the future.

Moving Thoughts Part II

May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human, enough hope to make you happy.

Always put yourself in others' shoes. If you feel that it hurts you, it probably hurts the other person, too.

The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way.

Happiness lives for those who cry, those who hurt, those who have searched, and those who have tried, for only they can appreciate the importance of people who have touched their lives. Love begins with a smile, grows with a kiss and ends with a tear.

The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past, you can't go on well in life until you let go of your past failures and heartaches.

When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling. Live your life so that when you die, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying.

Moving Thoughts Part I

Maybe God wants us to meet a few wrong people before meeting the right one so that when we finally meet the right person, we will know how to be grateful for that gift.

When the door of happiness closes, another opens, but often times we look so long at the closed door that we don't see the one which has been opened for us.

The best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porch and swing with, never say a word, and then walk away feeling like it was the best conversation you've ever had.

It's true that we don't know what we've got until we lose it, but it's also true that we don't know what we've been missing until it arrives.

Giving someone all your love is never an assurance that they'll love you back! Don't expect love in return; just wait for it to grow in their heart but if it doesn't, be content it grew in yours.

It takes only a minute to get a crush on someone, an hour to like someone, and a day to love someone, but it takes a lifetime to forget someone.

Don't go for looks; they can deceive. Don't go for wealth; even that fades away. Go for someone who makes you smile because it takes only a smile to make a dark day seem bright. Find the one that makes your heart smile.

There are moments in life when you miss someone so much that you just want to pick them from your dreams and hug them for real!

Dream what you want to dream; go where you want to go; be what you want to be, because you have only one life and one chance to do all the things you want to do.

SMILE – Jesus Loves You!

Just Push (UPDATE)

Just wanted to share with you all, a testimony of how my inspirational moment was incorporated in someone's life who reads my page daily. It brought joy to my heart!

Hi Bonnie,

Thanks for sending out your Inspirational Corner. I thought about you and how you said no one responded but I said just keep doing it. I think the Lord put that on your heart for a reason. You have to remember that many people forward this to others also, so your message is going beyond those on your list.

Well, twice over the weekend I had a chance to "inspire" someone else, I heard 2 white ladies on the elevator as we were leaving work on Friday. One was telling the other how someone in their family had a recently divorced daughter move back home with 4 kids and some other child (a grown man) was home hanging out in the basement. She said the woman was beside herself with the drama and didn't know what to do. Since I could hear every word she said, I told her to tell the lady to PUSH and explained what it meant. They said "Hey, I like that and started repeating it to memorize it, I said just remember the word PUSH". I know they passed that along.

And on Sunday, a lady that had left my church, I recall her reaction to a decision the church made and after that she dropped out of sight. I told her I was glad to see her and asked where'd she been. She explained what caused her to leave. She was active as a Sunday school leader, so I was explaining to her how the devil jumps in our way when God calls us to do something, she asked what she could do, I told her to PUSH, etc. We didn't know each other's name, so we introduced ourselves and hugged.

So, you see, God is using you to get a message to many other people, you are the vessel that carries the message, those of us who receive it will be the messengers! Keep on keeping on, I know God would give you a revelation, he just did!

Luv ya.
Miss Lynn

Just Push

At times, when we hear a word from God, we tend to use our own intellect to decipher what He Wants, when actually what God wants is just simple obedience and faith in Him.

By all means, exercise the Faith that moves mountains, but know that it is still God Who moves The Mountains.

When everything seems to go wrong..........................Just P.U.S.H.

When the job gets you down............................,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Just P.U.S.H.

When people don't do as you think they should...............Just P.U.S.H.

When your money is "gone" and the bills are due...............Just P.U.S.H.

When people just don't understand you.........................Just P.U.S.H.

P = Pray

U = Until

S = Something

H = Happens

"Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending."

And He Who searches the hearts of men knows what is in the mind of the [Holy] Spirit [what His intent is], because the Spirit intercedes and pleads [before God] in behalf of the saints according to and in harmony with God's will.

Romans 8:27

Follow God's Spirit
Many people follow their own desires or other people's advice instead of following the Spirit of God. The Holy Spirit is given to each of us to lead us into the fullness of our destiny, and into the fullness of what Jesus died to give us.

Your faith in Jesus gives you the promise of heaven, but God wants to work all things together for your good in this life too (see Romans 8:28). Don't be satisfied with receiving half of what Jesus died to give you. Follow the Spirit's leading so that you will get all that God has for you. Seek God for clear guidance to remain right in the center of His perfect will for every single day.

Strife a thief and a robber

And the servant of the Lord must not strive....
-2 Timothy 2:24 KJV

Strife is a thief and a robber which we must learn to recognize and deal with quickly. We must control strife before it controls us.

Strife is defined as "the act or state of fighting or quarreling, especially bitterly....discord." It is bickering, arguing, being involved in a heated disagreement, or shows up as an angry undercurrent. Strife is dangerous. It is a demonic force sent by Satan for the purpose of destruction.

The Bible says to resist the devil at his onset. (1 Peter 5:8,9.) Almost any time someone hurts us, or offends us, anger rises up within us. It is not sin to feel anger. But we must not act out the angry feelings in an ungodly way. We must not hold a grudge or get into bitterness, resentment, or unforgiveness. Ephesians 4:26 says don't let your wrath, your anger, last until the sun goes down.

A judgmental attitude is an open door for strife. We must remember that mercy triumphs over judgment (James 2:13 NIV). Judgment usually leads to gossip. Gossip begins to spread the strife from person to person. It gets us out of agreement, harmony, and unity. It actually moves us out of the realm of God's blessings.

When the temptation comes to judge others, and then spread our opinion through gossip and backbiting, we should remember this helpful hint: Let the one among us who is without sin cast the first stone. (John 8:7 KJV.)

Remember: God changes things through prayer and faith, not through judgment and gossip.

Do This:

Every once in a while read Romans, chapter 14, just to remind yourself that we all have different ideas, opinions, and ways of doing things.

I need you to lord. Help me not to hold on to stuff.

A Friend Part 5

Hello, hope you had a wonderful Good Friday and a very Happy Easter. Today I will finish up on A Friend Part 5

He is everything for everybody, everywhere, Every time, and every way. He is God, He is faithful. I am His, and He is mine! My Father in heaven can whip the father of this world. So, if you're wondering why I feel so secure, understand this... He said it and that settles it. God is in control, I am on His side, and That means all is well with my soul.

Everyday is a blessing for GOD Is A FRIEND!

I love the Lord and thank Him for all that he does in my life, therefore, I am passing this on. Yes I do love Jesus. He is my source of existence and my Savior. He keeps me functioning each and everyday.

Without Him, I will be nothing. Without Him, I am nothing but with Him I can do all things. Philippians 4:13

Good Friday and Happy Easter

What is Good Friday? One thing we need to clear up is that this isn't a holiday where we should be glad just to be out of school or off of work. We can rejoice in knowing that Good Friday is what allows us, and gives us the power to walk off the jobs at Sin, Inc.

Good Friday, the English name for the Friday before Easter, is known as the anniversary of the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ. We now call the day Jesus was crucified, “good”. Many believe this name simply evolved as language does. They point to the earlier designation, God's Friday, as its root. (This seems logical, given that goodbye evolved from God be with you.)

Whatever its origin, the current name of this holy day offers a fitting lesson to those of us who assume (which is easy to do) that good must mean happy. We find it hard to imagine a day marked by sadness as a good day. Of course, the church has always understood that the day commemorated on Good Friday was anything but happy. Sadness, mourning, fasting, and prayer have been its focus since the early centuries of the church.

Easter, how did this great story and reality begin? John 3:16, "For God so loved the world." It began with love, not just any kind of love, but God's love. God so loved the world. God didn't just love the world, but so love the world. This means to love to a great extent. We know that he had to love us to a great extent, because "he gave his only begotten Son." How many of you would give your only anything? Some of us have a problem with that, so giving a child would surely be out of the question. But God gave, he bestowed a gift. God loved the whole world, and the free love of God is the beginning of our salvation.

But how was this a gift if he gave his Son to die for the world? The gift is in this, "that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Nobody can use this verse on judgment day talking about, "The bible says in John 3:16 that God so loved the world that He gave His only Son." No, no, you have to read and understand the whole thing. Yes, God gave us a gift, but this gift is only promised to those who believe in Jesus Christ. The door is open to anyone, because He so loved the world, but you have to accept Christ to be Lord in your life, believe in Him and that is what leads to everlasting life. I'm just so overwhelmed by God's great love for us. I John 4:10 tells how God loved us even when we didn't love Him, and knowing this God still sent His Son to be the ultimate sacrifice for our sins. God still loves the world, but He hates the sin that the world lives in.

Have a great Good Friday and Happy Easter

A Friend Part 4

I serve Him because His bond is love, His burden is light, and His goal for me is abundant life. I follow Him because He is the wisdom of the wise, The power of the powerful, The ancient of days, the ruler of rulers, The leader of leaders, the overseer of the overcomers, and The sovereign Lord of all that was and is and is to come. And if that seems impressive to you, try this for size. His goal is a relationship with ME! He will never leave me, Never forsake me, Never mislead me, Never forget me, Never overlook me, and Ever cancel my appointment in His appointment book!

When I fall, He lifts me up! When I fail, He forgives! When I am weak, He is strong! When I am lost, He is the way! When I am afraid, He is my courage! When I stumble, He steadies me! When I am hurt, He heals me! When I am broken, He mends me! When I am blind, He leads me! When I am hungry, He feeds me! When I face trials, He is with me! When I face persecution, He shields me! When I face problems, He comforts me! When I face loss, He provides for me! When I face Death, He carries me Home!

Herod couldn't kill Him, The Pharisees couldn't confuse Him, and The people couldn't hold Him! Nero couldn't crush Him, Hitler couldn't silence Him, The New Age can't replace Him, and Donahue can't explain Him away!
