Be a People Builder

Today's Scripture

“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up…” (I Thessalonians 5:11).

God designed us to live in relationship with others. He wants us to help each other grow. None of us will reach our highest potential by ourselves. We need people in our lives to encourage us, and we need to encourage the people in our lives and help them reach their potential. The word “encourage” means to “urge forward.” Many times you can see things in other people that they don’t see themselves. You can see their strengths and talents. You can see that God has a special plan for them even though they may be going through a difficult time. Don’t assume that people see what you see in them. Take a moment and encourage them either with a kind word or a simple note. There might be a special gift you can give that will remind them of their goal or dream. In whatever way you can, urge the people in your life to keep moving forward. If you’ll be a people builder and help others fulfill their dreams, God will help you fulfill your dreams also, and you’ll live in blessing all the days of your life.

A Prayer for Today

Father in heaven, thank You for the people You have placed in my life. Help me build them up and find creative ways to urge them forward to Your glory.

In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Who Has Been Hindering Your Growth

One day all employees reached the office and saw a big sign on the door on which was written: “Yesterday the person who has been hindering your growth in this company passed away. We invite you to join the funeral in the room that has been
prepared in the gym.”

In the beginning, they all got sad for the death of one of their colleagues but after a while they started getting curious to know who was the person that hindered their growth. The excitement in the gym was such that security agents were ordered to control the crowd within the room.

The more people reached the coffin, the more the excitement heated up. Everyone thought, 'Who is this person that was hindering my progress? Well, at least he died!' One by one the thrilled employees got closer to
the coffin, and when they looked inside, they suddenly became speechless. They stood near the coffin, shocked and in silence, as if someone had touched the deepest part of their soul. There was a mirror inside the coffin...everyone who looked in could see themselves. There was also a sign next to the mirror that said:

'There is only one person who is capable to set limits to your growth, it is YOU!!! Your life does not change when your boss changes, when your friends change, when your parents change, when your partner changes, when your company changes. Your life changes when YOU change, when you go beyond your limiting beliefs.

BLESSINGS OF HEAVEN ABOVE

BY THE GOD OF YOUR FATHER WHO WILL HELP YOU,
AND BY THE ALMIGHTY WHO WILL BLESS YOU WITH
BLESSINGS OF HEAVEN ABOVE.
( GENESIS 49:25 * NKJV )

God's many blessings continue to please us, so we
should do our best to please God as well!

We do that by obeying His Commandments and by
loving our neighbors as ourselves. For our Savior Jesus
Christ said, "YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD
WITH ALL YOUR HEART, WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND
WITH ALL YOUR MIND. THIS IS THE FIRST AND GREAT
COMMANDMENT. AND THE SECOND IS LIKE IT:
YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.
ON THESE TWO COMMANDMENTS HANG ALL THE
LAW AND THE PROPHETS." ( MATTHEW 22:39-40 )

So, do your best each day to live by God's
Commandments, and share your love with others so:
THAT YOU MAY WALK WORTHY OF THE LORD,
FULLY PLEASING HIM, BEING FRUITFUL IN EVERY
GOOD WORK AND INCREASING IN THE
KNOWLEDGE OF GOD. ( COLOSSIANS 1:10 )

Now when you do, His blessings will flow abundantly
to you! For it is even written that: WHEN A MAN'S
WAYS PLEASE THE LORD, HE MAKES EVEN HIS
ENEMIES TO BE A PEACE WITH HIM. Amen!
( PROVERBS 16:7 )

National Day of Prayer

The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trust in Him and I am helped. Psalm 28:7

Thursday, May 1st is National Day of Prayer and I hope that everyone will set aside time during your day to share in a word of prayer with your friends, families, co-workers, neighbors, etc. We are all in need of prayer for our lives and our circumstances. The struggles of the world and the obstacles that we are faced with daily are enough to wear the body down. But there is a word from the Lord, and through our prayers and petitions to Him, he will handle all circumstances. No problem is beyond the measure of God's capability to handle for us. He can do exceedingly abundantly all that we could ever ask or think. It's in His word.

God is a good God and He is faithful. Each new day brings new blessings to each of us. Thank you God for your continued favor of our lives and our family members daily. For you are so worthy of all the honor and praise. To God be all the glory.

So, if you have not made plans to fellowship in prayer at a local church or meeting group, you can pray where ever you may be.
The prayers of the righteous availeth much...

Dear God, as I begin this day,
Let me turn my thoughts to you
And ask Your help in guiding me
In everything I say and do.
Give me the patience that I need
To keep my peace of mind
And with life's cares, I hope, dear God,
Some Happiness to find.
Let me live but for Today
Not worrying about what is ahead,
For I have trust that you will see
That I get my "daily bread."

I will be in prayer for each of you and your families that God's continued blessings will be in your midst and your pathways will be straight. I pray In Jesus' name that the enemy has to flee and victory will be yours in
all areas.

"Prayer is spiritual communication between man and God, a two-way relationship in which man should not only talk to God but also listen to Him." Billy Graham.

Blessings for a wonderful rest of the week - and be encouraged.
